Scottish Water is to appoint a single partner responsible for the distribution of key chemicals throughout Scotland. This is a long term collaborative arrangement to ensure the following benefits: A collaborative approach to managing the wider chemical supply chain. Fully optimised delivery routes and schedules. Full understanding of usage rates. Health and safety expertise. Technical product expertise and support. Continuous improvement and innovation. Chemicals will be priced by the distributor with full step-in rights for SW and a collaborative approach to the creation of the supply chain. The following chemicals will be included in the distribution framework: Ammonium Sulphate. Caustic Soda (Sodium Hydroxide). Chlorine Gas. Hydrated Quick Lime. Hydrochloric Acid. Phosphoric Acid (MSP). Poly-Aluminium Chloride (PAC) (Alba 18). Polyelectrolytes. Sodium Carbonate. Sodium Carbonate. Sodium Hypochlorite (Hypo). Sulphuric Acid.
