Appointment of independent consultants to undertake functional and financial needs appraisals for planning applications related to new temporary and permanent rural workers accommodation, and new rural development

Tender description

As part of the determination of planning applications some require an assessment for agricultural and countryside developments. Specialist advisers who have expertise in agricultural, environmental and countryside issues are required to assess the applicant’s case for development. The local planning authority would consider this assessment in their consideration and determination of planning applications. Where applications are refused following advice provided, these specialist services may also be required to defend the Council’s decision. The contract will be for 3 years with an option for a further 2 years. Contract start date is 1st April 2016.
