Portsmouth City Council and Southampton City Council are in the process of preparing a tender for the Stair-lift, Step-lift and Through-Floor Lift Servicing, Maintenance, Installation, Removal and Storage. We are looking to gauge the number of providers for this type of service who would be interested in working with the Councils. There is a questionnaire available at http://in-tendhost.co.uk/portsmouthcc/aspx/home Subject to the response we may wish to engage with you further in an informal discussion, to consider delivery of the contract and how this might be achieved. However this is purely a market consultation exercise, and neither this questionnaire and any subsequent consultation is in no way an indication of the selection of your organisation or a guarantee of future work. The deadline for submission of the questionnaire is 21.10.2016. Portsmouth City Council and Southampton City Council will be undertaking a procurement exercise during 2016 to secure a contract to include purchase and installation, servicing, maintenance, removal and storage, and refurbishment of straight and curved stair-lifts, step-lifts and vertical through-floor lifts in individual residential properties and also in communal areas of residential buildings. The Council wishes to undertake a soft market testing (SMT) exercise in order to alert the market, measure interest in the opportunity and understand the range of services that suppliers can provide in order to ensure that the best outcome is extracted from the future tender process.
