Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Services

In line with the Department's Learning and Development (L&D) Strategy and recent learning needs analysis carried out across the Department, the need for specific learning in the Financial and Banking Divisions was highlighted. It is envisaged that this learning, when delivered, will be transferred quickly and effectively back into the work environment, by equipping staff in the Banking and Finance Directorates with a fundamental knowledge of the sectors for which they devise policy. It is intended that a yearlong, modular, Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Services will provide participants with a broad understanding of Financial services in Ireland and abroad, including the key legal, regulatory, market and operational frameworks. A core Post Graduate Diploma with three modules is the approach suggested for this learning and for it to be delivered over the course of a year with either a combination of blended learning, workshops, elearning tools and/or complimented by classroom attendance (suggested time for sessions 15.00pm - 19.00pm). It is expected that this course will be available to staff of the Department in Quarter 1 2017.
