Tender description

This is a ‘Light Touch Regime’ Procurement where Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust (the Trust) would like to invite Expressions of Interest from Suitably Qualified Providers willing to work with the Trust to provide medical cover for the community services in development within the new Integrated Care Organisation. The Trust has a requirement for Medical Support to cover a range of activities to include: — Medical support to Intermediate Care (estimated 15 % of IC patients require enhanced medical input). — Medical input to Urgent Care Centres (where appropriate) and in some locations in lieu of Minor Injuries units (if no longer established). — Provision of Multi-long term condition services in each locality (clinics funded separately). — Other support to the H&WBT, e.g. telephone and/or face to face consultation in support of patients managed by other members of the MDT or support to Multi-LTC patients who have acute problems with the aim of avoiding admission to hospital, support to community matrons. — Medical cover of community hospital beds. The Trust reserves the right to award separate contracts for each discrete area of service provision such as is required to meet the needs of the service.
