Castlereagh Hills Golf Course is owned and managed by Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council (Council). The Council is seeking to appoint an operator to run the Restaurant and Bar facility at the Golf Club. The successful operator will wish to cater for their own target clientele, however, it is imperative that, alongside this, they remain flexible to cater to golfing members, visiting golfers and societies. The club overlooks idyllic views of Strangford Lough and Co. Down with a well-deserved reputation as the hidden gem of municipal courses in NI. The course offers 18 holes with a database of 400 members. The club takes pride in using the restaurant for matches, annual dinners and has a strong social committee wishing to develop a proactive social calendar of events. The restaurant hosts a 150 seated area, 55 seated members room, substantial bar area and well-equipped large kitchen. The successful operator will be responsible for management of all parts of the restaurant and bar area. The Council invites candidates to express their interest and provide the Council with relevant information to assess whether they are a suitable candidate to be invited to submit a proposal to be appointed as operator. The Council welcomes ideas and is open to suggestions regarding the operation of the facilities. Candidates are asked to demonstrate relevant experience of operating facilities similar to the opportunity. This may include, for e.g., café facilities, restaurant facilities, catering functions. The Council will consider each submission on its own merit and in the context of whether the Council perceives that it could meet its objectives. The Council holds a full drinks licence and the successful operator will have the full operational provision of alcohol at the facility in compliance with The Licensing (NI) Order 1996. The area includes the restaurant, kitchen, office, stores, toilets and lounge. Lounge access must be maintained for golfers use in accordance with club rules.
