Provision of Irish Language Services for the Citizens’ Assembly’s Meetings

Tender description

The Department of the Taoiseach is inviting service providers to tender for the provision of Irish language translation services for the meetings of the Citizens’ Assembly. The Assembly will be meeting for up to ten weekends (all day Saturday and half- day Sunday) over the course of a year from the date of the Assembly’s first meeting. The dates of the meetings have not yet been determined but the Assembly is expected to hold its first meeting in October. We are seeking proposals for the following: 1. A translator for each day that the Assembly meets to provide the following services: - the ability to provide simultaneous translation from English to Irish and vice versa; - translation of written material on site at the Assembly as required. 2. Simultaneous Interpretation System (headsets) 3. A full size ISPO approved Interpretation Booth 4. A technician to be provided to install and test all equipment prior to the meetings, monitor all equipment during the meetings and to remove equipment after each meeting. It should be noted that the services listed from 2-4 above may not be required and will be contracted for only if necessary.
