Dear Sir/Madam, The Mid Kent Improvement Partnership (MKIP) has been set up to manage the transition and sharing of services between Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells and Swale Borough Councils (the Councils). Fundamental to this is an ICT foundation that is accessible from any location and three key areas are currently being considered: § Data Centre Consolidation § Desktop Applications § Telecommunications. The partnership has reached the point where the existing telephony infrastructure is not able to support its current requirements or ongoing strategy for customer services, which must include: § Movement of staff § Expansion of Contact Centre for MKIP Customer Services § Call recording § Disaster Recovery options § Good reporting facilities. The project has been separated into 2 phases: i) Contact Centre ii) General telephony. This requirement is concerned with the contact centre, which is the provision of a replacement, centralised contact centre facility for all 3 councils, with local access for shared services as well as individual requirements. Maidstone Borough Council is conducting this procurement on behalf of the Mid Kent Improvement Partnership (MKIP) and will utilise the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Agreement, formerly Government Procurement Service (GPS) (RM1498/Lot 5 — Contact Centre Services) in order to reduce the length and cost of any procurement exercise, to both MKIP and potential suppliers, whilst ensuring the right product is selected. Participation in this procurement is restricted to suppliers on Lot 5 of this framework. Under the terms of this framework we are issuing an invitation to participate in further Competition (Mini-Tender). The Price matrix in the RFP will form the basis of the call-off form, but I will upload a draft in the next few days. The RFP documents are available via the BIP Solutions e-Source system which will be used to facilitate the secure interchange of documents.
