Tender description

Her Majesty's Passport Office (HMPO), which is part of the Home Office, has a contract for international secure mail services. This is due to expire in 2017 and will be re-competed, A supplier day is being held to help inform the decision making regarding the nature and scope of the new procurement for the replacement contract. HMPO would like to procure services for secure delivery to overseas locations. The primary objective of the upcoming tender is to maintain business continuity of a range of existing Secure Delivery services, including but not limited to:- — Deliver international centrally-printed passports and return supporting documents, securely and promptly, from the Organisation in the UK to international domestic addresses, Visa Application Centres, Embassies, other designated UK government locations worldwide and Government Offices in Overseas Territories & Gibraltar. — Transfer international applications, securely and promptly, from Visa Application Centres, Embassies or other designated UK government locations worldwide, to HMPO sites in the UK. — Transfer international applications, securely and promptly, from Government Offices in Overseas Territories, to a HMPO site in the UK. A Supplier Open Day is currently targeted to be held on 04 Oct 16. This is planned to: — Develop an informed understanding of the capabilities of the market players — Explore the potential for creating a better match between Government needs and industry capabilities, and — Provide suppliers with a better understanding of current and anticipated needs. Currently the planned date of dispatch of an OJEU notice is 09 Dec 16.
