Tender description

IT Assist, an Enterprise Shared Service (ESS) within the Department of Finance (DoF), provides common ICT services to the departments of the Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS). IT Assist currently uses Dell Software Recovery Manager for Active Directory to backup its Active Directory structures. Currently the 18 000 perpetual licenses owned by IT Assist are out of maintenance support (January 2014). The purpose of this contract is to bring the existing licenses back into maintenance and support and to allow for purchase of additional licenses as demand for Active directory services increases over the period of this contract. Initially 1 000 additional licenses will be required to meet current demand within the 1st year. The contract period is four (4) years with the option to extend for one (1) period of twelve (12) months plus the backdated licenses from 1.1.2014 to the date of award.
