Tender description

The council provides a wide range of traded services to schools from ICT, HR, Finance and grounds maintenance. The process of offering these services is complex, time consuming and takes several months from start to finish. Schools must buy services from April to April each year although the academic year runs from September to September. Academies financial year is September to September. The process is largely driven by Finance and each service area aligns to this using different approaches and predominantly manual processes. This creates a heavy workload and does not give the schools a consistent or professional view of our services. An on-line trading solution is being sought from a supplier to resolve these issues. We intend to award a 2 year contract with the option for 3 x 1 year extensions.
