Gateshead Council, as lead Authority for the South Tyne and Wear Waste Management Partnership (STWWMP), tendered this Contract on behalf of Sunderland City Council (the Authority), which is a member of the STWWMP. The contract is for the Provision and Operation of a Composting Facility to receive and process collected Green Waste. The requirements of the service under this Contract are: — The provision of a Composting Facility to receive and compost Green Waste; — Dependant on the location of the Composting Facility a suitable supporting Delivery Point/s should be considered from which the Contractor will transfer the delivered material to the appropriate processing Facility; — The transfer of the composted materials to suitable merchants or end users; — The provision of a complete record of all materials delivered, the interim merchants/outlets and the ultimate destination of each material.
