Tender description
This PIN is to alert potential providers to a forthcoming contract opportunity. GMPCC will be seeking to appoint an Independent Provider (IP) to help victims cope and recover from the impact and consequences of crime. The IP: — Will provide emotional and practical support for victims as required, including advocacy work, and take a multi-agency problem-solving approach; — Will be co-located in each of the 10 districts of Greater Manchester, within either police or multi-agency infrastructures; — Must interact effectively with GMP and other partners to provide an integrated and streamlined response to enhance the victim offer. The IP will be required to comply with the current Victims EU Directive and the Victims Code of Practice, ensuring that victims are able to access support outside of statutory agencies, if desired, whilst also providing integrated support for those who are referred into and out of the criminal justice system. The Police and Crime Commissioner for Greater Manchester (GMPCC) is reshaping the delivery of victim services across Greater Manchester and wishes to alert potential providers to a forthcoming contract opportunity in relation to this service. The GMPCC seeks to appoint an Independent Provider (IP) to help victims cope and recover from the impact and consequences of crime.
