Facilitation of the Development of a Vision 2030 for Sandwell Sandwell MBC - Requirement for a Commission for the Facilitation of the Development of a Vision 2030 for Sandwell The West Midlands Combined Authority provides a great opportunity to regenerate Sandwell for the benefit of its communities and businesses. In Sandwell, we now have to seize this opportunity and position the borough to make sure we reap the benefits in their broadest sense. During the development of the Combined Authority intelligence base of the last year, consultants undertook exercises that sought to establish the key areas of growth and opportunity in the CA and to quantify the scale of development growth that would be required to meet the ambitions of the CA Strategic Economic Plan. Sandwell now needs to translate these opportunities into the borough’s own ambitions for change in Sandwell. Through interpreting this intelligence and other contextual influences, the council wants to develop a placed-based vision for 2030 (to coincide with the timescale of the CA Strategic Economic Plan) to guide the council’s strategic direction. This vision will be central to shaping the council’s future priorities and objectives. The Council is seeking support to build on the intelligence undertaken to date and facilitate conversations with members of its Senior Management Board in order to develop a Sandwell vision for 2030.
