1495/309/EML/F/16 Data Management and Monitoring System for a Machine Shop The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for the supply to the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre's IMG Group within the Factory of the Future (FoF) in Sheffield. Scope of Requirement: The proposed monitoring system will be used in FoF to provide an overview of machine tool activity and facilitate the move towards a paperless shop floor. Therefore, the system will have multiple types of user. It is anticipated that this will be delivered by the provider allocating a full time engineer to design, develop, install and test an advanced monitoring system into the FoF building. This consists primarily of software requirements but will include some hardware specification and configuration as well as the training and mentoring of an AMRC staff member. The system can be split into two areas of development, allowing for multiple bidders or sub-contracting. Tender Process and Documentation: This is an sub threshold open exercise.
