Tender description

The Defence Academy, part of the UK Ministry of Defence intends to award a contract to The Chartered Institute for Procurement and Supply (CIPS) to deliver a unique Corporate Award Practitioner Programme, CIPS accredited induction course. The duration of the contract will be to 31.1.2018 for an initial quantity of 10 courses of which 3 are a 4-week block and 7 are modular based learning over a 6 month period. There is an option for an additional 3 modular courses which will extend the duration of Contract to 30.9.2018. It is considered that this contract can be awarded using the Negotiated Procedure without Prior Publication of a contract notice pursuant to Article 32(2)(b)(i) of Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council (Regulation 32(2)(b)(ii) of the UK Public Contracts Regulations 2015) for technical reasons. A key deliverable of the Commercial Professionalism Programme (CPP) is a CIPS accredited ‘Induction’ Course. This unique 4-week block Corporate Award Practitioner (CAP) programme, which is equivalent to the CIPS Level 4 Diploma, has been developed by CIPS on behalf of MOD. The course reflects an acceptable balance of CIPS generic Level 4 material (approximately 80 %), augmented by specific MOD material and input from subject matter experts (SMEs) from the Department (remaining 20 %). The course is assessed by 2 exams taken during the course, and 2 written assignments, 1 of which is completed / submitted at the end of the 4 week period; the other 6 weeks after the course has completed.
