Tender description

Cambridgeshire County Council and partner organisations are reviewing options for the replacement of its existing corporate voice and data network and calls and lines contracts. The contract value is expected to be in the range of 25 000 000 to 80 000 000 GBP. The Council wishes to consult with Potential Providers about this opportunity. Potential providers should note that it is not the Council's intention to break the requirement into lots. The Council wishes to consult providers with the necessary capacity to deliver a network at this scale. The current partnership comprises a number of public authorities in the Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Norfolk area that have come together to procure a flexible, capable and value for money telecommunications network that will support and enable their operations within the community. This telecommunications network must be delivered within the current constraints faced by the Public Sector. The Partnership envisages the proposed network will be seen as the public services network (PSN) of choice within the region. It is envisaged that the economies of scale will facilitate a network that is attractive to all partners.
