Tender description

The project is to deliver a new build development located within Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire. Consisting of 40 units, comprising 27 nr flats, 8 nr town houses and 4 nr terrace houses and 1 nr fully accessible wheelchair bungalow. Construction will involve concrete foundations, a Contractor Designed timber kit closed panel system, with factory fitted doors and windows, brickwork external walls, gas fired combi boiler, pipework and radiators, standard kitchen fitments, standard sanitary fittings and all associated external works. The units and development must comply with Secure by Design, and achieve a sustainability label: Silver. The contract type will be design and build; using NEC3 Option A with activity schedule. Contractor Appointment is expected in mid-October 2016. Commencement on-site expected November 2016 with a construction period of 56 weeks. The project is expected to realise some Community Benefits through the construction phase including delivering training opportunities.
