Local Authorities across Scotland are responsible for supporting and encouraging business by delivering Business Gateway, the nationally branded gateway to business support. Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City Councils provide this support by appointing a provider to deliver high quality advice and support. Business Gateway caters for entrepreneurs looking to start a business, new businesses and existing businesses looking to grow. The support services come under 3 headings: Start-up, Growth and Local Advisory. In addition to these core services new services will be offered to support Early Stage growth using funding from ERDF. The new contract for the delivery of Business Gateway and additional ERDF services will commence on 1.4.2017. The combined value of the ERDF and Business Gateway contract is approx. 1 500 000 GBP p.a.
