ADVERT - Sponsorship Proposal for Leicester Abbey Park Bonfire & Fireworks Display on 5th November, 2016 Leicester is a dynamic, multicultural hub in the East Midlands with excellent transport links, a fascinating heritage, an impressive cultural offer and a developing tourist profile. It has a strong history of enterprise and continues to look to develop stakeholder relationships with businesses for mutual benefit. Since 2013 the city’s fortunes have taken a considerable upturn with the excitement surrounding the discovery of King Richard III’s remains, his interment in the Cathedral and the opening of various related exhibitions and attractions around the city. Now in 2016 with Leicester City’s Football Club’s historic achievement in winning the English Premier League, the city has significantly enhanced its world-wide reputation and welcomes many new visitors from the UK and beyond. Leicester City Council’s Arts & Museums Service is committed to providing a wide range of high quality events and activities, within safe and suitable environments, which appeal to the diverse communities and age groups within our city and these new visitors On Saturday 5th November, 2016 Leicester’s Abbey Park will host around 20,000 people at its annual Bonfire and Fireworks Display. This exciting night of family entertainment will include a stage programme with bands and children’s characters as well as a funfair, hot food and fire performers. The evening is a highlight in the city’s busy event calendar and features one of the largest displays in the East Midlands. Leicester City Council is seeking a sponsorship partner to assist in financial support with the costs of providing this event. In return, the city offers multiple benefits for the sponsor, including branding on stage and on-site banners, and in promotion via print, website and social media.
