As part of its Development Strategy, Southern Housing Group (SHG) (the "Authority) is looking to develop approximately 3,500 units over 4 years for an estimated value of 631 000 000 GBP Majority of units developed will be flats/apartments, with a large proportion of 1 and 2-bed homes. Shared ownership and Private Rented Sector (PRS) will be priority tenures, although we will continue to deliver homes for affordable rent and open market rent and we will consider starter homes where appropriate. SHG wishes to establish a framework for contractors to deliver development project works. The framework will cover a range of project sizes and contract types across SHG. Projects will range in size between 5 and 300 units. At the smaller end of the scale, some projects will be small, infill sites mostly in London and rural exception sites, whereas there will also be a number of medium sized one-off projects and a small number of large regeneration schemes, which may be broken down into phases. This PIN is issued by SHG to commence a Soft Market Test (SMT) exercise to find out from the market how best to deliver its Constructor Framework. The SMT will cover contract packaging, delivery models, forms of contract, pricing models, social value and innovation. Any organisation or group of organisations acting in a consortium may participate in the SMT on the basis that they would be able to provide all of the required services. SHG plan to hold a Meet the Buyer event to present this project to the market at the beginning of September, any organisation that wishes to attend the session should state this within their survey response.
