Tender description

Eastbourne Borough Council (EBC) and Lewes District Council (LDC) approved a Joint Transformation Programme for sharing the majority of services on 25.5.2016. The JTP requires the adoption of more efficient business processes enabled by investment in technology and delivered by joint teams, serving residents of both councils. The intention is that EBC will become the host employer of joint teams. SopraSteria Ltd (SSL) currently provides IT infrastructure management services to EBC under a contract dated 30.10.2006 which expires on 31.12.2021. These services include managing the network, servers and desktops. LDC currently provide these services in-house. The proposal is to modify the contract to enable the services currently delivered by SSL to EBC to be extended to cover the LDC infrastructure for the remaining term of the contract to ensure EBC/LDC and their joint teams have access to a common ICT infrastructure with 1 point of management. SopraSteria Ltd (SSL) currently provides IT infrastructure management services to EBC under a contract dated 30.10.2006 which expires on 31.12.2021. The contract was awarded after competition following a contract notice published in OJEU. These services include managing the network, servers and desktops. LDC currently provide these services in-house. The proposal is to modify the contract to enable the services currently delivered by SSL to EBC to be extended to cover the LDC infrastructure for the remaining term of the contract to ensure EBC/LDC and their joint teams have access to a common ICT infrastructure with 1 point of management. The anticipated increase in price is estimated to be between 15 % and 20 % of the total original contract value. The parties to the original contract and the other terms and conditions remain the same.
