Leicestershire County Council Cash Collection & Consolidation Service

Tender description

Leicestershire County Council aims to procure a secure cash and cheque collection, transit and cash consolidation service for Council establishments, schools and academies where the Council provide school food services. The Service Provider must be ‘British Security Industry Association’ (BSIA) accredited to tender for this service. Natwest Bank Plc are the providers of banking services for the County Council until March 2021 with an option to extend for a further 3 years until 2024. Natwest require cash to be consolidated. Natwest will only accept approved service providers for cash consolidation services so all proposals must be able to meet the banks requirements. The Service Provider must be able to accommodate daily collections from multiple establishments on behalf of the Purchaser. The establishments include maintained schools and academies in Leicestershire as well as corporate establishments and potentially some car park machines located in Country Parks at a later date. The Service Provider and the Service Provider’s staff delivering the contract services must be competent, experienced and trained in the Provision of the Services in accordance with requirements of the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) and the Security Industry Authority (SIA). This requirement is also essential. Duration A five year agreement is planned commencing July 2016 with an option to extend for an additional thirty six months at intervals at the Council’s discretion.
