Short Term Housing Benefits and Council Tax Processing Services

Tender description

Wirral Council is seeking to procure external support to address its current backlog in Council Tax Processing as well as in Housing Benefits. It intends to appoint a suitably experienced provider of processing services in these areas who will complete a defined package of work on its behalf. The proposed contract will initially cover the following: a) The processing of Council Tax changes (Vacations & Occupations), Council Tax Support Changes and Single Person Discount activities. ? Requesting, and responding to information from customers ? Monitoring work items in pending status to ensure these are completed as soon as possible. ? Quality checking a minimum of 15% of work to ensure financial error rates do not exceed 5%, and ensuring any identified errors are corrected within 2 working days. Work items will be considered complete when all necessary process steps have been completed, all outstanding information has been obtained and updates have been made to Wirral?s Council Tax system, or customers have failed to respond to requests for further information within a specified time.
