Tender description

North East Lincolnshire Council, acting as the agent for a range of schools within the boundary of North East Lincolnshire, is undertaking a procurement for participating schools for the provision of a hot school meals service. There are 31 primary age school settings located throughout the borough that have indicated they wish to be part of this arrangement. The procurement will put in place a framework arrangement with four lots describing four different school meal service types. Contracts will be called off from the framework arrangement between participating schools and the successful supplier, for each individual school's preferred service type. Provision has been made for any other primary school in the North East Lincolnshire Borough to be able to access this framework arrangement throughout the lifetime of the framework. Although they have not indicated any interest or intent to participate at the time of this notice. The service will provide a hot, freshly prepared two course school lunch to every pupil presenting for a meal that is cooked on site in school and fully managed and staffed by the Provider. Meals provided will be freshly prepared each day, from fresh food to be cooked from scratch, using high quality raw ingredients that are unprocessed and where applicable, seasonal. The service will provide a fully managed and staffed provision for cook chilled meals which will be delivered into schools and heated on school site. The service will provide cook chilled meals which will be delivered in by the Provider to schools and heated on site by school staff. The service will provide school meals which are delivered in hot by the Provider to schools. The service within the school will be operated by school staff.
