Tender description

Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Council (the Employer) is seeking to identify and appoint contractor(s) to a Highways Minor Works Framework Agreement (Framework). The work involved will be of a jobbing/patching/minor works nature associated with the maintenance of the Employers highway network. The tender is divided into 2 lots: Lot 1 — which consists of day work rates for teams and equipment; Lot 2 — which consists of measure and value items in the price list for longer duration work. The employer intends to appoint the following number of contractors: — up to 5 (five) contactors to lot 1; — up to 3 (three) contractors to Lot 2. Contractors can be appointed to lot 1 only, lot 2 only or lot 1 and lot 2. Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Council (the Employer) is seeking to identify and appoint contractor(s) to a Highways Minor Works Framework Agreement (Framework). The work involved will be of a jobbing/patching/minor works nature associated with the maintenance of the employers highway network. The estimated value through the framework is not guaranteed and is dependent on budgets made available to the employer but could be up to 400 000 GBP per annum. The proposed framework period is 2 years with potential extensions of a further 2 years in one year increments subject to performance.
