Tender description
Achieving for Children (AfC (Children's services social enterprise provision for both The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and The London Borough of Richmond)) has undertaken a commissioning programme to determine the delivery of School Meals provision in the boroughs. The opportunity was split into lots: Lot 1 Kingston only, Lot 2 Richmond only, Lot 3 Both Kingston and Richmond. Lot 3 is the route chosen for award, AfC exercised their right not to award Lots 1 and 2 as indicated in the Prior Information notice and the Contract notice. There evaluation was in 2 parts, once a winner was determined for each Lot, the prices of each winning bid were compared and the lowest determined the award route. The contract will commence on the 1.8.2016 until 1.8.2019, with the option to extend for a further period of 24 months. The contract value is based upon the price per meal the tender submitted and the historic meal numbers for the previous year. This may vary depending on take up of the service.
