Tender description

Framework Agreement for the supply of Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services: Qualified Crew and Secure Transport covering the geographical areas of Cornwall and Somerset. The Somerset health community intends to share details of the Suppliers and Tariffs with nursing homes that support Somerset registered patients. These nursing homes may wish to make bookings direct with Suppliers for ‘social need’ transport requests. The NHS will hold no responsibility for the costs of these journeys. At all times, payment for these journeys will remain the responsibility of the nursing home that has arranged the booking. This will be a provider to provider transaction. The nursing home personnel will not be part of the evaluation team for the Framework. Lot 1a — Paramedic; Lot 1b — Technician and/or Ambulance Care Assistant with/without specialist equipment; Lot 1c — Ambulance Care Assistant with/without specialist equipment. Lot 2a — Secure Transport with 1 Registered Mental Health Nurse and 2 Crew including Driver. All Crew qualified in control and restraint; Lot 2b — Secure Transport 3 Crew including Driver, all Crew qualified in control and restraint. Lot 3a — Paramedic; Lot 3b — Technician and/or Ambulance Care Assistant with/without specialist equipment; Lot 3c — Ambulance Care Assistant with/without specialist equipment. Lot 4a — Secure Transport with 1 Registered Mental Health Nurse and 2 Crew including Driver. All Crew qualified in control and restraint; Lot 4b — Secure Transport 3 Crew including Driver, all Crew qualified in control and restraint.
