North East Lincolnshire Council, NELC, North Lincolnshire Council, NLC and East Riding of Yorkshire Council ERYC are reviewing their case management system requirements. NELC currently has 5 systems for recording Education, Health and Social care Information. In-line with its ICT strategy, NELC seeks to reduce the number of places identical information is recorded by reducing the number of databases used. NLC has the same broad aims and may decide to tender its childcare and potentially its adult social care recording systems with NELC. ERYC has a similar interest in market developments. The intent of the councils will be clear when the Contract Notice, for the tender, is released. Objectives: Integrate case management systems, simplify recording processes, reduce duplication of data entry, deliver an affordable solution in an environment of reducing budgets, support the highest degree of data integrity, reduce back office resources for system management. Integrated case management systems for Early Help and Statutory Services. A system that is future-proofed and might expand to accommodate further case management functions such as education, health, adults services, etc. The case management system encourages good practice and supports managerial oversight and accurate performance information, reducing re-keying. Case records will tell the child's or adult's story. Services users will ‘say it once’.
