Tender description

Roscommon County Council is planning for the upgrading of the N5 between Ballaghaderreen and Scramoge. The overall length of the N5 route under consideration is approximately 32km. The scope of the works envisaged under this preliminary ground investigation includes the following: - (a) Cable percussion (Shell & Auger) boreholes; (b) Rotary drilling; (c) Trial pits, (d) Rock coring, proving rock to a specified depth; (e) Rotary percussive drilling. (f) Water level measurement. (g) Dynamic probes; (h) sampling and in-situ testing; (i) Laboratory testing of soil samples for engineering properties, behaviour and suitability. (j) Laboratory testing of rock samples for engineering properties, behaviour and suitability. (k) Preparation of Descriptive report; (l) Preparation of AGS digital data. (m) Liaison with Local Authorities, landowners and other public and private bodies as necessary; (n) all other works described in the tender documents; (o) Health and Safety requirements, (p) Road Traffic Management
