Tender description

The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to inform the market operators of a Supplier Bootcamp which the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) is hosting on 3rd to the 5th August 2016 related to the procurement of a contract for the provision of Managed Technical Infrastructure Services. The NHSBSA is a Special Health Authority and an Arm's Length Body of the Department of Health. It provides a range of critical central services to NHS organisations, NHS contractors, patients and the public. The NHSBSA is responsible for processing £32bn of health and related expenditure across a diverse range of services. The progression of the proposed Managed Technical Infrastructure Services procurement will be subject to Cabinet Office approval of the NHSBSA's Outline Business Case for its Information Technology Infrastructure Sourcing (ITIS) Programme. The ITIS Programme aims to secure the provision of IT infrastructure and IT service for the NHSBSA; putting in place new IT infrastructure, new service arrangements, new supply contracts, new governance and new ways of working for the NHSBSA's retained IT function. The Supplier Bootcamp is one of the NHSBSA's preliminary market consultation activities, its purpose is to give the market a broad indication of the Managed Technical Infrastructure Services opportunity which the NHSBSA intends to offer and to receive feedback from the market as to the NHSBSA's proposed strategy to procure these services. At the Supplier Bootcamp the NHSBSA will present and then offer all suppliers the opportunity of an individual meeting with members of the ITIS Programme Team. These meetings will take place on the afternoon of the 3rd August and all day on both 4.8.2016 and 5.8.2016. Once suppliers register for the Supplier Bootcamp a request can be made for an individual meeting. Suppliers should be aware that the discussions at the individual meetings will be documented, and the resulting documents will be made publicly available as part of the Supplier Bootcamp Materials (see VI.2).
