Supply & Maintenance of Network Equiment

Tender description

An Post is seeking to enter into a Single Framework Agreement for each of the following LOTS for a period of 3 (three) years with an option to extend for a period up to a further 2 (two) years. The tender will be divided into LOTs. Interested parties may apply for all LOTs or individual LOTs as appropriate. Interested parties should have demonstrated capability and experience in the specialist areas to meet the requirements and tight deadlines that are associated with these services/ requirements. SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS: Lot 1: Supply of Network Equipment Supply of the following types of network equipment and related software: • Branch and Edge Routers • Data Centre, Core, Access, Distribution and Compact Switches • Firewalls and Access Control Systems • IP Telephones and Collaboration End Points • Wireless Access Points • Note: The current infrastructure is entirely Cisco based. Any additional equipment will be expected to clearly demonstrate interoperability between the current infrastructure and any proposed new equipment. Lot 2: Maintenance and Support of New & Existing Network Equipment and Systems (1a) Maintenance and Support of the following types of network equipment and related software: • Branch and Edge Routers • Data Centre, Core, Access, Distribution and Compact Switches • Firewalls, ASR’s and Access Switches • Cisco Unified Communication Manager and IP Telephones • Wireless Access Points and Wireless LAN Controllers • SolarWinds Network Management System (1b) Maintenance and support of any new network equipment and related software supplied which could include any of the above types. 1(c) Provision of Senior Cisco Network Engineering Expertise: In order for An Post to manage, maintain and develop the network infrastructure there is a requirement for a senior network engineering resource for up to 50 day’s per annum. This resource should should hold current Cisco CCIE Routing and Switching qualifications.
