Tender description

The requirement is for General Medical Practice patient administration and clinical systems delivered as a managed service, together with associated services (implementation, development, support and training), optional software modules and any ancillary items relating to the foregoing core and/or optional items. The services are to be made available pursuant to a framework to GP practices or premises from which GP or primary medical care services are provided. The intention is to enter into a multi-supplier framework. Suppliers appointed to the framework must achieve and maintain compliance with the Scottish Interface and Integration Functionality (SIIF) requirements before any call off contract can be awarded to them under the framework. . Accordingly, NSS deems it appropriate to give advance notice to the market of its draft SIIF. Section VI.3) of this PIN provides details of how the draft SIIF can be accessed. It is the intention of NSS to enter into a multi-supplier framework pursuant to which General Medical Practice patient administration and clinical systems are to be delivered as a managed service. Call off contracts from the framework may be entered into to deliver services to entities constituted pursuant to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, local authorities, Integrated Joint Boards, the Scottish Prison Service and GP practices or premises from which GP or primary medical care services are provided. Such call off contracts may be entered into by direct award or after mini competition.
