Tender description

This is an invitation to pre-qualify for the provision of new build commercial and residential housing development, refurbishment and regeneration for Ashford Borough Council and/or its Property Company. The type of property may include, but will not be limited to, office blocks, leisure facilities, retail outlets, sheltered accommodation, houses, flats and bungalows. The term is likely to be 4 years. A bid can be made for more than 1 Lot. The Council may during the course of the framework provide new commercial property and refurbish existing units which may include, but are not limited to, office accommodation, retail units, urban regeneration and development. The Council may during the course of the framework provide new commercial property and refurbishment existing units which may include, but are not limited to, retail units, including regeneration and fit out, town centre development, office accommodation regeneration and fit out, conversion of office to residential, conversion of retail to office. The Council may during the course of the framework provide new industrial units and leisure facilities, and refurbishment of existing property, including but not limited to, construction of industrial sheds, construction of start-up units, construction of community centres/facilities, refurbishment of leisure facilities. Ashford Borough Council has secured funding from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) for the provision of 46 units included within a sheltered accommodation complex to be delivered between 2015 and 2020. A report detailing these works will be considered by Members of the Council's Cabinet Committee in early 2016. Further funding may become available during the term of the framework for the provision of additional units for both the Council and the Council's Property Company. Ashford Borough Council has secured funding from the Homes & Communities Agency (HCA) for the provision of 60 units of general need housing to be delivered between 2015 and 2020. A report detailing these works will be considered by Members of the Council's Cabinet Committee in early 2016. Further funding may become available during the term of the framework for the provision of additional units. The programme may include both new build and remodelling existing sheltered housing units during the course of the framework for both the Council and the Council's Property Company.
