Tender description
Somerset County Council’s Adults and Health Service has a duty to protect ‘an adult’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect’. Working closely with the Somerset Safeguarding Adults Board, the County Council is required under the Care Act (2014) statutory guidance to ensure that the six principles of Adult Safeguarding (empowerment, prevention, proportionality, protection, partnership and accountability) inform safeguarding practice. These courses aim to provide staff members with the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to recognise Adult Abuse and their duties under the Care Act (2014). aims and objectives within this QQ: 1. A half day training course delivered to a maximum of 15 people 2. A half day refresher course for those who have attended the above, delivered to a maximum of 15 people Whilst we propose to deliver course 1 - 5 times and course 2 - 9 times between September 2016 and August 2018, the exact number of deliveries may vary with demand.
