Tender description

This contract is for a range of supplier(s) to supply a variety of Building Materials (set within Lots) to enable the undertaking of responsive, planned and project works, including New Build across a variety of properties, both Council and Privately Owned. To this end, Housing Landlord Services (Bournemouth Borough Council) have created a wide reaching series of Lots under a framework for the supply of Building and Construction Materials as well as the supply of supporting services. Housing Landlord Services will take the lead on the development of this framework and the Lots will be available for use on an account by account basis for all existing Council departments and any new or proposed commercial Council trading companies. The framework is for 4 years. Under this framework the Council will ‘call-off’ under 2 options Direct Award and Mini Competition. Direct Award Standard ‘call-off’ Contracts have been awarded by Lot to the supplier ranked 1st through the tender evaluation for the 1st 2 years of the contract. Direct awards will be reopened at a predetermined time prior to the 2 year point in the contract and all supplier(s) under each Lot will be asked to submit a new pricing submission. The other suppliers listed in Section V) for each Lot have been awarded a position on the Framework; where the Council has a specific requirement in ordering products for Bulk Orders and Pre-Ordered Plot Packs for core products, it will run a Mini Competition for all Lot Suppliers. The contract value of each Lot shown in Section V) is an approximate amount based on historic usage. *Please note that the Council does not have a direct award to 1 supplier for Lot 3 — Plant Hire. The suppliers under this Lot who submitted a tender will be engaged using a Price Book that has been created with all the items for this Lot. Each supplier has submitted their prices based on Hourly Rate, Daily Rate, Weekly Rate, 2 Weekly Rate and 4 Weekly Rate, as well as Minimum Hire Period and Notice Required for Item, and the Council will hire equipment based on availability and cost.
