NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) specialist laboratories carry out a range of molecular based diagnostic tests. We are seeking to engage with suppliers of DNA polymerase which will be used in techniques that include but are not limited to Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Sequence Specific Oligonucleotide Probes (SSOP) (Luminex (™)), Next Generation Sequencing, Real Time PCR, PCR Single Specific Primer (SSP), Sanger sequencing, Short Tandem Repeat (STR) profiling. This may include specialised DNA polymerases such as hot start or long range as well as standard DNA polymerase. Prior to commencing a formal procurement process and to help inform our strategy, NHSBT is seeking to engage with suppliers of commercially available DNA polymerase reagent(s). Our current contract ends in February 2017 and NHSBT would like to improve our knowledge of all existing and future products available. This will aid identification of opportunities and gauge market interest in this field. It is NHSBT's intention to hold pre-procurement engagement the date and method of which will be confirmed. Interested organisations are required to send an email (expressing their interest) to marta.drozdzowska@nhsbt.nhs.uk by no later than 17:00 (GMT) on 1.7.2016. This should include a list of your potential attendees and a brief of overview (or a website link) of the Goods which might be offered. Thereafter NHSBT will confirm arrangements for supplier engagement meetings. No business whatsoever is guaranteed under any resulting framework agreement or contract. Furthermore there is no guarantee that any framework agreement or contract will be put in place in relation to this notice. No compensation etc. will be paid if a tender or resulting framework agreement is withdrawn for any reason. Bidders should take part in this process only on the basis that they fully understand and accept this position. It should be noted that this procurement exercise may allow other Health authorities to utilise any contracts/ framework agreements awarded.
