Tender description

For the Provision of Safe and Secure Transport Covering all UK Coin Denominations to and from The Royal Mint, Llantrisant, Pontyclun CF72 8YT to and from 14 Nominated UK Cash Centres. This notice is specifically directed to those transport organisations with a well established service and necessary fleet of secure trucks that can meet the requirements as specified in the ITT/ PQQ. It is envisaged the forecasted number of outbound trips will be in excess of 1 000 with over 16 500 pallets to be moved. Inbound trips are likely to be of a similar level. Further details in relation to the scope of services is provided in the tender documentation. Tenderers must note, however, that due to the sensitive nature of this contract and in the interests of security, some sensitive information regarding the services will only be released by The Royal Mint to tenderers upon receipt of a validly signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (in the form provided with the tender documentation). This information shall include but not be limited to information on timings for the provision of the services and the routes which tenderers will be expected to take when undertaking the services. Tenderers are therefore required to return the validly signed Non-Disclosure Agreement in the form provided with the tender documentation. Provided The Royal Mint are satisfied with the same, The Royal Mint will then release the relevant additional information to such tenderer.
