Tender description

Thurrock Council is seeking to appoint a provider of a wide range of advocacy services including citizen and formal/professional advocacy to clients and empower clients to embrace and be involved in peer advocacy and self-advocacy. Care Act Advocacy for ages 18 and over. Delivering local solutions by facilitating peer advocacy and self-advocacy empowering service users to speak up for themselves and to build support networks for the individual so advocacy support is used appropriately. The Independent Mental Capacity Advocate (IMCA) role is to support and represent the person in the decision-making process. Essentially to ensure that the Mental Capacity Act 2005 is being followed.
