Tender description

The Department of Education (DE), the Contracting Authority, is delivering Strule Shared Education Campus (SSEC). This is a landmark project providing a bespoke state of the art facility to deliver post-primary school education in Omagh, Northern Ireland. The SSEC Programme involves the relocation of 5 post-primary schools and Arvalee special school in Omagh onto 1 purpose built campus site with shared facilities incorporating sports, the arts, media, home economics, design and technology. The SSEC is located on the former Lisanelly Barracks, Omagh, Northern Ireland. This phase will entail the relocation of the 5 post-primary schools onto the campus, the provision of sports/leisure facilities including playing pitches, the provision of a shared educational centre and other associated facilities, site wide infrastructure, landscaping and general site development works over c.140 acres. This PIN is not a call for competition. However, to assist the Contracting Authority in assessing market interest in the Main Building Works package, Economic Operators are asked to complete a questionnaire which is available from the contact point identified in Annex A. The response to the questionnaire will be used for information only and will not form part of any pre qualification or tender stage.
