Tender description

The Police & Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire is tendering for the provision of Soft Shell Jackets (Lot 1) & Microfleece Tops (Lot 2). The resulting framework arrangements will be available for use by all Police Forces in the UK. The garments will be worn by police officers & staff whilst undertaking a range of operational duties. The intention is to award each Lot to a single supplier. The Soft Shell Jacket is worn by police officers & staff whilst undertaking a range of operational duties. The jacket is worn as part of a layering system over standard police uniform and equipment. It is worn as either the top-layer or as the under- garment to the outer waterproof coat. The resulting framework agreement will be available for use by all Police Forces in the United Kingdom. A list of current police forces in the UK is available at http://www.police.uk/forces/ The Microfleece Top is worn by police officers & staff whilst undertaking a range of operational duties. The top is intended to be worn under body-armour and provide a thin layer between the shirt and the body-armour. It is essential that the garment's design is compatible with items in the laying system. The resulting framework agreement will be available for use by all Police Forces in the United Kingdom.
