Tender description

The Contracting Authority and its group operating subsidiaries own and supported housing schemes in Northern Ireland and 7 general needs, sheltered and joint managed supported housing schemes in the Republic of Ireland. The Contracting Authority are seeking to appoint a Service Provider who can deliver the Passenger Lift, Stairlifts and other disability hoists servicing, maintenance and renewals contract to the highest possible standards and can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Contracting Authority a proven track record in the delivery of these services. The successful Service Provider must be able to show a commitment to providing effective services that provide value for money to the Authority and its tenants and customers. The successful Service Provider will need to have demonstrated a commitment to addressing welfare to work, focusing on the young and long term unemployed. The Contracting Authority requires Passenger Lift periodic inspection, testing, servicing and routine and responsive maintenance including 24/7 out of hours emergency call-outs and repairs to breakdowns both EN Standard form 02 — Contract notice 5 / 17 during and outside normal working hours including ad-hoc refurbishment, upgrades and renewals to principal components in respect of the passenger lifts it provides to its general needs, sheltered and supported housing schemes (151 in Northern Ireland and 7 in the Republic of Ireland) and to its head office, in addition it provides and has the maintenance responsibility for some 36 stair-lifts and disability hoists in Northern Ireland. Further details of the scope of works is included in the Procurement Documentation. Economic Operators are advised that the terms of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations may apply to the existing workforce employed by the incumbent contractor in relation to the works to be performed by the successful economic operator under the proposed new contract. The Contract will be based on the NHF Form of Contract 2011 (rev 4:2016) (Communal Mechanical and Electrical) incorporating aspects of the M3NHF Schedule of Rates: Lift maintenance Version 6.3.
