Tender description

The University of Huddersfield - Journalism and Media dept. has been allocated a space to build a brand new Newsroom Centre for the Broadcast Journalism degree in-order to full-fill the requirements for BJTC accreditation, creating a fully functional newsgathering environment. We are tendering for a fully functioning INews system capable of connecting to our existing 34 x HP Z220 workstations with Avid Media Composer software. The INews system must be able to be used by all 34 edit stations for the running order, scripting software and play and record into a TV studio control room. Suggested components required: • 34 x News Cutter options for Media Composer • Avid Interplay server • INews Server • Avid Airspeed • INews Command Server • Any additional equipment/facility beyond the standard system requirement to be added as optional. Also to include: Full installation and with extended Server Hardware Warranties where applicable to reduce yearly maintenance costs for the first 5 years. Technical training and User Staff Training Installation on-site and ready to use by Mid-August 2016. The Full cost of the system inc installation and training would need to be within our budget line of up to £150,000 Inc vat
