Tender description

The aim of this work is to: gain a deeper understanding of motivation and learning theory mechanisms that may be applicable to the training and operational performance of detection dogs. This review should not be limited to research carried out in dogs, but should include relevant research and concepts identified in any other animal models, including humans. The review should also consider the impact of the handler upon the capability of the detection dog and not be limited to aspects influencing the dog.
