Tender description

Hackney Learning Trust (HLT) has sought a suitably qualified and experienced provider to develop a mobile application (the Language App) to overcome early barriers to educational progress arising from limited or delayed vocabulary, comprehension and early phonology. The Language App will be made available to all children aged 3-5 years across the UK. A single provider will be appointed and the contract term will be a maximum of 4 years, commencing in May 2016. The Language App will be developed using a phased approach, comprising pilot, full development, launch, and on-going maintenance phases. The pilot phase will be targeted at the development of a prototype app that can used to evaluate educational benefit and inform decisions around progression to the full development, launch and maintenance phases. Further development of the Language App will not progress unless the full development phase is green lit.
