Who Speclialist Work With Project Manager, Product Owner, Architects, Business Design Team, Development Team, External and Internal Users across the education sector What Specialists Work On We are looking for a Business Analyst to support the feasibility stage of the Data Exchange project; looking to replace some 5-10 systems with a single new shared service. The BA will work closely with the Product Owner to understand current systems and user needs for the new service; and help to coach the team - especially internal BAs - in how to write, evolve and get the most from user stories. Where the Work Takes Place It is expected that the majority of time will be spent at DfE offices in London, but with travel to other sites (notably Coventry, Sheffield and Darlington) and other UK travel as required to support understanding of user needs Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements The specialist is expected to work a professional day, 5 days a week and be available on client site, working alongside the project team, for the majority of this time. There is scope for remote working Work Location It is expected that the majority of time will be spent at DfE offices in London, but with travel to other sites (notably Coventry, Sheffield and Darlington) and other UK travel as required to support understanding of user needs Security Clearance Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Hands on experience of gathering user requirements from a wide range of stakeholders (15) Proven experience of converting requirements into user stories (15) Proven experience of analysing existing systems and business processes and documenting these (10) Experience of developing TOMs (5) Able to act as the SME on user story production within the project team (5) Nice to Haves Experience of coaching, mentoring and, where required, leading other BAs (4) Experience of improving business processes in relation to the transfer of data between IT systems (3) Experience of the education sector (3) No. of Specialists to Evaluate 4 Cultural Fit Criteria Able to effectively communicate with staff at all levels and external to the organisation, understanding their priorities while enabling the project to progress (5) Able to work under own direction and set own short term targets as required (5) Work in a collaborative and open manner (5) Comfortable in challenging accepted ways of working based upon own experience (5) Assessment Method Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 60% Cultural fit 20% Price 20% Questions from Suppliers Budget range
