Tender description

The Trust wishes to build two new mental health hospitals. In part the hospitals will be funded by other capital receipts; in the main the hospitals will be funded by the proceeds of redevelopment of surplus land. The Trust has outline planning permission for up to 839 residential units. The Trust is holding a Bidders' Day on the 6.6.2016 at the offices of Savills, 33 Margaret Street, London, W1G 0JD from 18:00 to 20:00. Interested parties are invited to apply for invitations to attend the Bidders' Day presentation. The number of places is limited and the Trust wishes to ensure that interested parties can be fairly represented. When applying for an invitation please provide information on the names and roles of the people from your organisation you wish to attend. The Trust may have to restrict the number of representatives of any organisation that may attend. Applications for invitations must be received via emp.tender@swlstg-tr.nhs.uk by the 1.6.2016. The Trust wants to appoint a private sector partner (‘Master Developer’) (which could be an individual economic entity or a consortium) to have overall responsibility for the design, build and commissioning of the new hospitals, the provision of all associated infrastructure, the redevelopment of the Springfield site and the discharge of obligations under the associated s106 Agreements. Both existing hospitals will continue to provide mental health services throughout and the Master Developer will be responsible for phasing the demolition, refurbishment, new build and infrastructure works in such a way as to enable the Trust to continue to provide its services without interruption. In addition, the Master Developer will be responsible for maximising the value that can be achieved from the redevelopment of the Springfield site.
