Services provided by bed and breakfast establishments

Tender description

East Lothian Council intends to seek Bed and Breakfast services, located in East Lothian, to meet its obligations under Part II of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987 — Homelessness Provisions (as amended, substituted or supplemented from time to time). Bed and Breakfast services may be offered, to participate on the multiple supplier framework, from businesses with Houses for Multiple Occupancy (HMO) registration (or businesses in the process of applying for HMO registration). Bed and Breakfast services in properties that do not require an HMO registration, due to the size of the property, may be considered but the proprietor and facilities will require to be assessed, with reference to the HMO requirements, by East Lothian Council. East Lothian Council requests expressions of interest from organisations interested in supplying bed and breakfast services in the East Lothian area. East Lothian Council intends to put in place a multiple supplier framework agreement for the provision of this requirement. It is anticipated that the framework agreement will be in place 2 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years.
