Tender description

Blackpool Council wishes to invite to tender suitably experienced and equipped organisations interested in providing a Gas Servicing and Maintenance service in Blackpool. Non housing includes all the Council's Corporate properties and the majority of schools. This Contract will cover all properties that have a gas supply, with the majority being multiple appliance commercial installations. The Works comprise of an Annual Gas Servicing Programme carried out over a 6 month period and Day-to-Day Responsive Repairs predominantly of unplanned Works, mainly minor jobs, which will be notified to the successful Bidder on a daily basis. There will also be Emergency Works, including the provision of a 24 hour emergency service. The Client is now under a duty to ensure that it achieves ‘Best Value’. This means providing a service to our customer, which is of the highest standard, is value for money and is continuously improved during the life of the Contract. This contract will initially be for 2 years with the ability to extend for up to a further 1 year plus 1 year (subject to budget availability and satisfactory review).
