Tender description

The Employer wishes to appoint a Contractor to carry out inspection and maintenance services in relation to mechanical and electrical equipment at the A505 Weston Hills Tunnel, Baldock. The Contract may also include the carrying out of refurbishment or upgrade work to the existing systems, but any such work is at the Employer's discretion and not guaranteed. The Employer wishes to appoint a Contractor under the NEC3 Term Service Contract (as amended) for an initial period of 3 years, extendable to a maximum of 8 years by way of annual or 2 year extensions. Both the decision to extend and the length of such extension shall be at the Employer's sole discretion. The Employer is seeking tenders from experienced organisations interested in pro-actively working with the Employer to support the Employer's asset management strategy in relation to the Weston Hills Tunnel. Tenderers should note that the Weston Hills Tunnel is not subject to the Road Tunnel Safety Regulations 2007 however, the Employer intends that the Services should be delivered within the spirit of that legislation. This procurement process is an open process, if you wish to be considered you must complete and submit a completed ITT by the closing date and time. Submissions cannot be uploaded after the closing date/time. To be considered as a Tenderer you must submit a fully completed Response Document by the deadline of 12:00 on Friday, 27.6.2016.
